Aims of the Bullying. No way! website
- To provide a nationwide resource of State and Territory approaches to minimising bullying, harassment and violence in schools.
- To develop a framework for sharing Australian school community solutions that work.
- To use technology and networks to make this information as accessible as possible to school communities.
- To make sure that all students can learn in a safe and supportive school environment.
Bullying. No way! is grounded in national and international documents.
The website furthers the goals identified by the Adelaide
Declaration on National Goals for Schooling in the Twenty-First Century
(1999) by assisting school communities in the development of safe, supportive
and nurturing environments where
- schooling contributes to the development of students' sense of self-worth,
enthusiasm for learning and optimism for the future and
- students can exercise their rights and responsibilities as citizens of Australia.
The website supports the United Nations Convention
on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) treaty by encouraging school community
environments that allow children to grow up in an atmosphere of happiness,
love and understanding.
