Using stories
Stories provide teachers and carers with valuable resources for assisting children to connect to and be reflective about the experiences and feelings of others as well as themselves. However it's important that the stories are chosen with care to encourage positive behavour, and that they are introduced, unpacked and followed up in ways that articulate the facts and explore the deeper issues and implications of different paths.
